What is your favorite ice cream flavor? In the summer, people all around the world enjoy eating ice cream. Not only children but also many adults love eating ice cream. Who doesn’t love ice cream? The soft, cool, sweet ice cream makes our mouths happy on hot summer days. There are so many varieties of ice cream you can choose from. But do you know when people started eating ice cream and what is the most popular ice cream flavor in the world? If you are curious to know the answers, keep reading and find out!

You may be surprised to know that ice cream has a long history. In the past, people enjoyed the frozen dessert, too! The frozen dessert was first enjoyed by Emperor Nero of Rome. He sent his slaves into the mountains to bring some snow. Then, he mixed nectar, fruit pulp, and honey with the snow. It was the world’s first ice cream!

In 1776, America’s first ice cream shop opened in New York City. In 1812, ice cream was served as a dessert in the White House and it created a sensation. Today, each American consumes about 6 gallons (23 liters) of ice cream each year! Also, over 90 percent of American households have ice cream in their refrigerators. Of all the days of the week, most of the ice cream is bought on Sunday. Interestingly, about 5 percent of ice cream eaters in America share their ice cream with their pets! July is National Ice Cream Month in the U.S. And the 3rd Sunday in July is National Ice Cream Day!

In 1903, an American man named Italo Marchiony invented edible waffle cups. It was the first ice cream cone. He sold his homemade ice cream from a pushcart on Wall Street. His ice cream waffle cups gained huge popularity in New York City.

Today, there are hundreds of different ice flavors from vanilla, strawberry, chocolate to green tea. In Japan, you can enjoy a whole variety of strange ice cream flavors, including fish, octopus, squid, shrimp, garlic, and chicken wing. You can even taste wasabi ice cream and whale ice cream! In the Middle Eastern countries, you can enjoy ice cream made out of camel’s milk.

In 1983, Cookies ‘N Cream, made with real Oreo cookies, was invented. People loved the flavor so much and it was a big hit. Cookies ‘N Cream became the fastest growing new flavor in the history of the ice cream industry. In 1991, another famous flavor was created - Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough ice cream.

However, the most popular flavor of ice cream in the world is vanilla. About 80 percent of the world’s vanilla beans used for ice cream is grown in Madagascar. Chocolate syrup is the most popular ice cream topping.

The Scientific Letter: Hangul

1)Hangul, birth that out of the common
Do you know when the Hangul is birth? Most of the letters are made by many people down through something, commonly. But Hangul has one man-made letter and of course, it has purpose to make.
Hangul was made by King Sejong, the fourth king of the Joeseon Dynasty. And it was made in December, 1443. Hangul's original name is 'Hunminjungum', and it means'The letters that teaches subjects'. Long ago, we had our own word, but we didn't have our own letters. So we use the Chinese characters instead.
So King Sejong made the Hangul to correct to our word, and of course, he thought he had to made the letters that many of the people including poor people that can't learn the letters.
"We don't have our own letters and we use the Chinese characters instead.
But our own word is different with Chinese characthers and it is not understand each other. So many people wants to say many things but they don't know the letters, so they can't say their words to other people.
I out of the pity to them, so I make 28 letters new, and I'll call it Hunminjungum.
It can be teach many people easily and use it comfortably."

Special Post- Study planner

This is the study planner that made by the MissMa, in the Korea. It looks pretty, isn't it? I said that I'll write the post about the study planner yesterday.
The study planner in the picture is not mine. Mines is red, and it is very clean!--;;
However, you wonder why many students in Korea are likes to write the study planner. Heres why:

1) Study planer, it is very comfortable to many busy person including students, and even the office worker. It can see the daily life easily through the weekly, daily, and the time table in the planner.

2) It is also fun to use diary, and if you use it well, your test score will be go up and you will have the confidience, too. I write my study diary every day. It is feel like the just diary that you write your daily life when you have a habit that write the study planner.

3)It can be also the book planer that you can use it. If you are like to go to the library in your school, or your village, write your book after read it in your study diary. It is comfortable if you want to find that book later.

Last, I'll write the 'Korea's history- The Hangul!' at next week. Tomorrow is the start of summer vacation, and I'll go to the mountain in this week.

Special Post- My daily life

Hello, I'm glad to meet you again. I think I will write my post during the computer class. You wonder why I write my post in the computer class. But, my teacher said we can have the free time!!
So, this picure is the Live pen that makes in the Korea. And the second picture is diary. I have the hobby that makes the book, illustrate the book cover, and collect some pictures. I will show you about the collection.
So, you wonder why I like it. It is fun, and I can think about my daily life. It is very useful in many ways.
I use my Live pen, Fine tech that made by Morning Glory, and 20-color pencil that has many colors! I like it.
And, I'll go to my math academy in this summer vacation. And, I'll study English and I'll write the post about the Korea.
Oh, this week, we had a test about the layer of seefloor, and the circumference. It was easy, but I hope I can get a good grade.
Ah... the computer class has 5 minute left. But I have many stories that say to bloggers. Next week, I'll say about my study diary and study habit in my blog.

The hardest thing is I had a level test in English academy. I had a quite good grade, but I want to have more good grad than that. And the best happiest thing is I complete my art textbook! I'm very happy about that.

Each of you has a different personality. Personality is the typical pattern of thinking, feeling, and behaviors that make a person unique. Having a good personality is important to live a happy, successful life. If you have a good personality, it means that you are interesting and pleasant to be with and everyone likes you. Many people believe that personality is hard to change. However, there are some ways to improve your personality so you can become a more likeable person!

Try to see the bright side of life
Everyone has ups and downs in life. It is not easy to stay cheerful when you are having a hard time. However, you should try to see the bright side of your life even when you are in trouble. Then, you will be able to come up with better ideas to solve your problems. You can actually change your thinking pattern if you keep trying. Make a habit of looking for the humorous and bright side in a situation. This way, you can be a better person. Remember this: no one wants to be around people who are negative and complain a lot.

Have your own opinion
Do you usually express your opinion actively when talking to other people? Or do you just agree with other people’s opinions to avoid conflicts? In order to improve your personality and enjoy your life more, you need to learn to express your opinion. You don’t have to be aggressive when telling people your thoughts and opinions about something. Put a smile on your face and tell people how you feel or think about a certain matter, even if you have an uncommon point of view. In fact, having a unique outlook can make you an interesting, creative person.


Meet New People

If you are honest and true to your word, people will respect you and trust you. If others trust you, you will feel great about yourself and will be proud of yourself. As a result, your self-confidence will go up. Feeling good about yourself will make you a better person.

Korea's Traditional Clothes

We need clothes to live in this life. We are warm, and protect from for bees or other things through the clothes. Each country they have own their traditional clothes. So, I'll introduce about Korea's Traditional Clothes. You will very surprise about our traditional clothes when you saw it.

Our country, the Korea's traditional clothes was diffrent in each era. In Period of Three Country, we wear the clothes similar with the Chinese's one. But to pass the time, people in the Korea thought that their clothes and their clothes was changed little bit. And to reach in the Joseon Dynasty, it changed lot then the Period of Three Country. 0h, I don't mean that Period of Three country's clothes are not unconfortable. I mean that clothes is changed lot when time was passed. You know, clothes have trend at that time. It is the same principle. So, I'll say about to Joseon Dynasty's clothes. In Korea we wear the Joseon Dynasty Clothes in the traditional holiday then the Period of Three Country. Today I'll write about scientific facts about the Traditional clothes and I'll write about the kind of clothes next time.

1. The Scientific Fact About the Traditional Clothes
"Joseon's clothes are not practical. They wear hemp clothes when the winter winds are strong, and they wear white clothes like Arabian. Outer clothes is storting with
nettle fiber durumagi(it is meaning the Korea's Traditional out clothes). Mens, they are wear the accesories in their hair, and they make topknot in their horsehair wove band which made with the bamboo. Womens, they wear the skirts which clearstarch in their clothes and wear the jeogori(it means that Korean's traditional jaket)."
It is the speech that say in the <> that authour named Georges Ducrocq that France's diplomat in 1901. But when I read that speech, I was very angry and disappointed about that. Our traditional clothes is very scientific. Many people they says that Western's clothes are confortable than our traditonal clothes. But our traditional clothes are most confortable and fitable clothes in the world.

Traditional clothes are file in the box and western clothes are file in the hanger. Many people are didn't sence about this fact, but file the clothes is Korea's traditional clothes's strcture is diffrent with western's clothes.
Traditional clothes is flat structure. To design the clothes and complete clothes, it is flat. So, like the suit, it cannot be worry about to wrinkle and file in the hanger. Because it can be file in the box like the paper expect the padded clothes.
Traditional Clothes is flatland but when we wear, it become to three dimensions. To make like this clothes, Korean put the wrinkle in the clothes. Wrinkle, it can be cover our three dimension body to more easy and proper.In fact, Joseon Dyansty's military officer they wear the clothes that look like the skirt. Because to fight to ride the horse in the war, it is confortable then wear the official uniform.

Nowadays, in korea we make the wedding dress like the Korean traditional clothes`-hanbok. To see the clothes fact, I think our traditional clothes is very beautiful!!

About Dokdo

This days, many Japanese says Dokdo is their land and they call it 'Dakesima'. But I think this is wrong fact because Dokdo is Korea, our land. And we call it 'Dokdo'.
If you can't believe it, I'll say about the grounds for Dokdo.Please read it and think about that Dokdo is Korea's land.

Then, why do they say that Dokdo is their land? According to my reaserch, around the Dokdo, there are lots of plankton, fishes, and lots of marin lifes are live in surround the Dockdo. And it also called, 'fertile fishing ground'. Most of, many of the people in the world don't know about that Korea has Japanese Ruling Era in 'The Second World War'.In the Japanese Ruling Era, Japanese government says that Dokdo is deserted island and they included Dokdo in their land. And nowadays,, in 21st century,they says that is not violate the world rule. But in this opinion, I can't agree with Japanese government because there are little bit strange problem in the Japanese and Korean history about Dockdo.

Then, I'll say about the reason that Dokdo is our land in history.
1. In 세종실록지리지(it is the book that public in the Joseon Dynasty.),they says that Dokdo is include in our land. Oh, I think you believe it is just our opinion, and it is not true. But this book is the most correct book and it is the most precious thing in the Korea. And in 삼국사기(it is the book that published in Sila Dynasty) says that 'Dokdo was included in june, Jijeong King 13.'. And in 신증동국여지승람(it was published in 1531, in Jeung Jong) says that Dokdo is our land. And even at the Japanese Data that punlished in 1697, January, they says that Dokdo is Korea's land and they say it is illegality to catch the fish in the Dokdo. But nowadays, they says Dokdo is Japan's land. I think they have to think about the historic reason about Dockdo.

2. In 통함일람 that published in 1851 in Japan, they says Dokdo is Korea's land.

3.Nowadays in Japan, they says that Dokdo is our land becuase Dokdo is close by Japan then Korea. But, think about the Ullengdo, Dokdo is our land 'cause it is most close in the Korea.

I hope that people in the world reconize that Dokdo is Korea's land and to Japanese government, Dokdo is our land and do not distort Korean's history after all. Dokdo is Korea's land!!

Social Networking's negative and postive affects

These days, a growing number of people are using social networking websites such as Facebook, MySpace, and Twitter. Even many teenagers and children have their own accounts. These websites are helpful in many ways. You can keep in touch with your friends and relatives easily. You can also make new friends and meet new people online through these social networking pages. However, there are some negative aspects as well.

It is true that social networking service (SNS) have many positive aspects. It is a great way to stay connected with people. You can upload your pictures and write stories about your daily life on your page. You can also visit your friends’ websites to see how they are doing. Through social networking websites, you can contact with people anytime, anywhere.
SNS also helps you stay connected with the world. You can get useful information very quickly from them. For example, Twitter and Facebook were very useful for the people in Japan when the country was hit by a mega earthquake and tsunami on March 11. They got information about the situation quickly through these websites.
However, as everything has both bright and dark sides, SNS has some negative sides as well. When using social networking websites, you have to be very careful. This is because social media consists of personal information. Your personal information can be misused for bad purposes by bad people. Therefore, you should not provide important information to these websites. Do not post your personal information, address or cell phone number. You should change your passwords often, too.
Social networking websites are often used to harass people, too. Some teens leave mean messages on the web pages of people they don’t like. It can lead to serious problems. The victims can suffer from depression. In severe cases, some teens even try to kill themselves.

In addition, some teens can also suffer from low self-esteem just by looking at other people’s Facebook web pages. If they don’t receive many friend requests, they feel sad, lonely, and depressed. This is because they think they are not popular like other people.
SNS can be very useful in many ways, but we should be careful in using social networking sites. Spending too much time on the websites is not very good for your mental and physical health. Let’s use them constructively rather than destructively!

What do you do when you are angry?

Everyone gets angry sometimes. In fact, anger is one of our important feelings. It is perfectly OK to be angry from time to time. Anger can be a good thing because it helps you stand up for yourself when you are treated unfairly. However, anger is a very strong feeling and it should be released in the right way. Otherwise, it can hurt yourself and others. This week, let’s learn how to deal with your anger.

1) Don’t say anything
When you are angry, you may want to yell at someone. But it can hurt someone’s feelings and ruin your relationship with the person. Instead of screaming, say nothing when you are angry. If you can remain silent, it gives time for the emotion of anger to leave you. The third President of the U.S., Thomas Jefferson, once said that “When angry, count to 10 before you speak. If very angry, count to 100.”

2) Breathe deeply
When angry, close your eyes for a moment and take a deep breath. It will help remove your anger a little bit. Then, try to think about something which will make you happy. For example, thinking about a fun vacation or your favorite singer can make you feel better. Also, try to focus on something completely different.

3) Be logical and rational
Use reason to stop your anger. Before losing your temper, try to be rational and think logically about the aftermath. Take a step back and say to yourself: “This anger will not help me in any way. It will only make the situation worse.” If you want to talk about your anger to someone, then talk to a friend you can trust.

4) Go out to get some fresh air
Don’t just sit at your desk, thinking about the person who made you angry. Go out for a walk and get some fresh air. You can get rid of your anger by doing something active. Just give it a try. It is really effective.Riding a bike or playing basketball will make you feel much better!

5) Do something that makes you happy
Listening to your favorite music, watching a fun movie, playing a fun video game, or singing out loud can help relieve your anger. Meditation is also very helpful. Practice meditation regularly to bring your inner peace. Famous Indian spiritual teacher and philosopher, Sri Chinmoy, once said that we should value peace more than anger. He said, “You may have every right to be angry with someone, but you know that by getting angry with him, you will only lose your precious peace of mind.”

How to build good Study Habits

Don’t you want to become a good student? Developing good study habits is very important for students. As a student, your job is to study! However, many students still don’t know how to study effectively. This week, let’s learn how to develop successful study habits!

1) Turn off the television
When it is study time, it is no TV time. TV can distract your attention and focus from studying. Some children like to listen to music when studying. Sometimes classical music can be helpful. However, listening to your favorite radio station is not a good idea. So try to turn off the TV and radio and concentrate on your study.

2) Get everything ready before you start studying
Get all necessary supplies such as pencils, pens, paper, books, dictionaries, and notebooks ready before you begin studying. Then, you will be able to spend your time more effectively and wisely.

3) Set specific goals for your study times
Goals will help you stay focused and monitor your progress. You have to be very clear about what you want to accomplish during your study times. Simply sitting down to study without specific goals is not very effective.

4) Using a bulletin board in your room can help you organize your study schedules
You won’t forget about your homework or study schedules by writing them down on a bulletin board. Just make sure to check them often.

5) Study at the same times each day
If you study at the same times each day, you can establish a routine that becomes a regular part of your life, just like eating and sleeping. Therefore, you will be mentally prepared to begin studying when a scheduled study time comes up.

6) Do not study too much at one time
If you try to do too much studying at once time, you will feel very tired and stressful. Your studying will not be very effective, either. Remember to take short breaks from time to time. It will help restore your mental energy.

7)Use your study diary
I use my study diary and it is very good for my study. I wrote my study in the study diary and check the diary at the night. You'll write the chores's to do at the day and study it.

Reading Matilda and I felt it is very excited. And also I felt Roald Dahl is the most brilliant writer. Oh, I don't mean Roald Dahl is brilliant writer inthe world.
I think Dan Green burg, Mary Pope Osborn is the favorite authour,too.
Matilda is very fun and brilliant, I think,( In fact, I wanna to resemble the Matilda,because you know, she is very genius 5-year-old in England.)
And Charlie and Chocolate Factory is fun, too. It is very unique Chocolate Factory in the whole England, I think. Willie Wonka and Charlie's Exciting Factory Advanture!
I read this book yesterday twice, but it is too much fun!
Oh, at last, I introduce the James and Super Peach. It is about the poor boy James, and the insects in the super peach.(I was very hungry during I read this book.)
I think this book is very delicious book!

Wearing a bright blue dress, Kim showed off her exceptional skating skills. When her fantastic performance was over, she shed tears in joy and many Koreans cried with her. When her scores popped up on the scoreboard, Kim’s mouth dropped open in delight. It was a new world record, which even broke her old record by 16.11 points! “I still can’t believe the score that I received,” Kim said. “I’m really surprised.”

The 20-year-old figure skating queen received a total of 228.56 points, 23 more points than her longtime rival, Asada Mao of Japan. Asada, the 2008 world champion, won the silver with 205.50 points. “I did everything I could,” said Asada. “But I am not happy with my performance. I feel regretful. I want to do better next time.”

Kim is Korea’s first Olympic gold medalist in figure skating. “I can’t believe this day has finally come for me,” said Kim, after winning the gold medal. “I have accomplished the biggest, most important goal in my life. I am going to enjoy this moment for a while,” she added with a sweet smile.

My family went to the 'Jikji museum' at the winter vacation. I was very excited when I heard we were go to the Jikji museum!
When my family arrived at the Jikji museum,we went to the museum and by some tickets. There are picture of the Jikji.
We saw the picture of the Jikji in the museum. According to tour guide,this Jikji is
at the National Library in the France. I was very upset when I heard this thing. But, the other hand, why the Jikji is in the France?Why the France give back the Jikji to us? I wonder this thing.So,I research about many things about Jikji.
First, I research how to make the Jikji.
Jikji is in the Frace.

Because long ago, at the war, one France father get the Jikji st the war.
So the Jikji is in the France. And they get the about 1,000 books in the Joesun libary, like Jikji or eugue.

My Travle Journal: Jeonranam\ Jeonrabukdo


My family went to the Jeonranamdo\Jeonrabukdo at two nights three days. Before my family go to the Jeonranamdo\Jeonrabukdo,we are very excited!But,the other hands,my parents are very worried. Because the Pension was fulled!
And anyway,we went to the Jeonranamdo\Jeonrabukdo next day. Next day was very sunny. So we are very happy!
When we arrived at the Jeonrabukdo,first we went to the Mt.Mai. The MT.Mai is very awesome!Then I and my brother listened to my mommy about tradition of Mt.Mai.
Here is the tradition of the Mt.Mai.
One day,they were have to go to the heaven. The husband said,"Let's go to the sky at the midnight when the people sleep."
But the wife didn't wants to go to the sky at the mid night. So she said,"No! I don't want to go to sky at the midnight. Midnight is to scary, and I am very tired.
Let's go to the sky at the dawn."
So, the husband didn't out of her sturborn, so they went to the sky at the dawn.
But the one women went to the well for the water, she saw that the mountain is float in the air! She was very shocked and she shouted. Then the couple was heard that shout. They harden when they go up to the sky. The husband is very mad. He take two child,and kick his wife. Now, the wife rock is stand regret.>
Mt.Mai is very awesome,and grand. I and my brother took the picture at the tiger stone image of an animal.How fun!
At the Mt.Mai, there were many pagodas. I wonder how many it is! And how can it stand at the wind, Storm, rain? I wonder how can it stand!
I investigation about the Mt.Mai's pagodas. It was made at the late of Chosun Dinasty,Imsil-Gun. One man named gab-Yong-Yi, made that many pagodas at the Mt.Mai.
We took the pictures of pagodas. We took the pictures of the flower of the Mt.Mai.
After we saw a Mt.Mai, suddenly the rain fall! We bought four raincoat.
And we toward for Jeonranamdo!

After we leaved the Mt.Mai, we headed at the Jeonranamdo,Boseong-gun.Boseong is famous for the tea.
My family was very hungry. So we found one bistro. My family suprised one more time.
That bistro sell the food that made tea!
I ate some tea-rice cake soup,and my brother ate Ramen that made with a tea!
After we ate some food, we went to the tea field. We saw the many of the tea.
We even ate ice cream that made with tea!
So, how do you think about this?I want to go here again when I grow up!

During the winter vacation, my family went to the Dan-yang. At the Dan-yang, there are very famous cavern. It is natural monument in the Korea. This cavern is - The Gosu Cavern! We were went to the Gosu-Cavern in Dan-yang!
Before we went to the Dan-yang Gosu-Cave, I was investigations about Gosu-Cavern. Gosu-Cave is the most wonderful cave with Luray-Cavern in Virginia.
When we arrived at the Dan-yang, we bought our tickets. At the tickets, there were picture inside of the Gosu-Cavern. I thought Gosu-Cavern is same as diffrent cavern.
But when my family went inside of the cavern, my family was surprise! The Gosu-Cavern is very beautiful! But,I can't breath well at the cave. But, I forgot everything!Because I was fascinated to the Gosu-Cavern's landscape!
I and my brother wrote quickley about stalactite, stalagmites,etc.
We were fun!
Then,my father looked scared. "What's wrong,daddy?" I asked to him. He didn't ansewered to my question. Then he said, "I-it's to tall to me!"my daddy said. Then I realized why he was scared. He had acrophobia!
And anyway, we was very happy to see a Cavern. After we expirenced the Gosu-Cavern, we bought some potato-chips and some dirnk. How delicious!
